Welcome!
Welcome
to the CReSTeD website Information
for Schools section. Use
the relevant buttons to find: There
are many schools that claim to help SpLD pupils.
Registration with CReSTeD is recognised
nationally as a symbol of quality that is being
increasingly sought by parents who see it as a clear
indication of the high standards achieved by the
school. The majority of schools on our Register are mainstream schools that are also able to give excellent help to pupils with dyslexia and also - when combined with dyslexia - dyscalculia, dyspraxia, ADD, and pragmatic and semantic language difficulties. The Register provides guidance for parents who are looking for a school for their dyslexic child and has become established as a first source of such guidance. For example:
The
‘Schools Full List’ button, which takes parents
to information about CReSTeD schools, contains links
to the schools’ own web sites. The Register is printed
annually and is distributed free of charge
to parents, educational psychologists, libraries,
schools, LEA’s and other interested organisations.
Our continuing advertising programme in the
national press and specialist educational journals
generates considerable interest from both schools
and parents. If
you have queries that are not answered by the
information here, or would just like to talk through
registration, then please contact Christine Hancock,
details as below.
It may also help to talk to a CReSTeD
consultant and this can also be arranged.
